
AIHP awards Certificates of Commendation annually to recognize activities or historical endeavors by individuals or organizations that (i) advance knowledge or understanding of the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals; or (ii) utilize the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals to address or advance understanding of contemporary issues. Certificates of Commendation are not intended to recognize individuals for academic achievements or peer-reviewed academic publications.
Nominations for the Certificate of Commendations must include at least one letter of nomination outlining the nominee’s contributions based on the criteria below. To be considered for a Certificate, nominations must also include the nominee’s curriulum vitae (or similar biographical information) if applicable. Nominations for the award are evaluated on the basis of:
