Check out the pharmaceutical playlist here and watch the recording on our YouTube Channel.
Many pieces of popular music are related to pharmacy, medicines or the drug store. So far, over 1000 titles have been identified and collected in a “pharmacy playlist”. The role of the pharmacist and the institution of the pharmacy are sung about in songs, as are various drugs from a wide range of drug groups: from antitussives and contraceptives to antimycotics.
Numerous dosage forms and aspects of drug production, such as percolation, are also represented. The musical pieces are drawn from a wide cross-section of musical genres, e.g., pop, pop, rock, county, rap, hip-hop, metal. The lecture discusses exemplary representatives of the “pharmaceutical playlist” with examples of lyrics and music.
