AIHP’s internship program offers students a unique opportunity to explore the rich and diverse history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals. Open to undergraduate, graduate, and pharmacy students, internships are available year-round and can be completed remotely or in-person. Interns work closely with AIHP staff on meaningful projects that support the Institute’s mission to preserve and share pharmacy’s past.

Interns may:

  • Conduct historical and literature research on pharmacy-related topics.
  • Assist with digitization and archival projects, including cataloging and metadata entry.
  • Develop educational and outreach materials.
  • Participate in special initiatives like capital campaigns, exhibit design, or oral history interviews.
  • Help organize and index books in AIHP’s research library to improve accessibility.
  • Collaborate on ongoing programs that promote pharmacy history and public engagement.
