We are pleased to celebrate several members of our Board whose leadership, service, and generosity have recently been recognized by the national pharmacy community and by institutions they have long supported.
Past President John Grabenstein, RPh, PhD, ScD (Hon), has been appointed President of the APHA Foundation, and Treasurer Nancy Alvarez, PharmD, BCPS, has been named Treasurer—appointments that reflect their sustained commitment to advancing pharmacy, public health, and philanthropic leadership at the national level. We are grateful for the leadership and perspective both John and Nancy bring to these important national roles. AIHP would like to congratulate the other members of the APhA Foundation Board of Directors.

We also extend our congratulations to President Cynthia Boyle, PharmD, FAPhA, FNAP, FASCP, who was recently honored by the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy for her “remarkable career and enduring impact” and her transformational gift to the school. In April 2026, the School celebrated Cynthia’s legacy as an educator, leader, and alumna, marking her establishment of the School’s first endowment dedicated to experiential learning and the Academy of Preceptors. Her generosity reflects a lifelong dedication to pharmacy education and an enduring investment in future generations of student pharmacists.

We are proud to work alongside board members whose service and generosity continue to shape the field of pharmacy and strengthen the institutions they care deeply about. Please join us in congratulating John, Nancy, and Cynthia on these well‑deserved honors.
