The American Institute of the History of Pharmacy (AIHP) is seeking a Development Officer to support and advance the organization’s fundraising initiatives and capital campaign.

This position is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys building relationships, managing projects, supporting fundraising efforts, and helping mission-driven organizations grow. The Development Officer will work closely with AIHP leadership, board members, volunteers, donors, and campaign advisors to help achieve fundraising goals through effective donor engagement, stewardship, prospect research, communications, and campaign coordination. 

Position Summary

The Development Officer plays a key role in implementing AIHP’s fundraising strategy, with responsibilities that include:

  • Maintaining campaign prospect pipelines and donor tracking systems
  • Coordinating donor cultivation and stewardship activities
  • Supporting campaign volunteers, committees, and advisory council members
  • Preparing fundraising reports and campaign dashboards
  • Assisting with donor communications and fundraising materials
  • Planning and supporting cultivation events and donor visits
  • Maintaining accurate donor and campaign records
  • Researching prospects and identifying opportunities for growth

Position Details

Location: Hybrid (Madison, Wisconsin)
Hours: 20–25 hours per week
Compensation: $28–30 per hour
Term: Fixed-term position through June 2027, renewable based on performance
